As the President and Founder of The Growth Coach, a business coaching franchise system, one of my absolute joys is to see my franchise owners serve others, succeed, and love what they do. Knowing that our business coaches are helping thousands of small business owners each and every year throughout North America is highly gratifying and makes all the hard work, stress, worry, and risks worthwhile. As well, these same business coaches continually help to feed my passion and soul, expand my vision of what is possible for The Growth Coach, and provide me, a small business owner, with valuable insights to improve my business and life.
One such Growth Coach owner is Glenn Smith based in Houston, Texas. I admire Glenn's passion for serving and helping his clients and sharing his years of experience and our powerful business coaching process. I am truly excited for all the small business owners in the Houston area who can benefit from his coaching and his caring. He is putting together quite a coaching team in Houston...I guess they do everything BIG in Texas.
Also, I enjoy reading this business coaching blog and recommend it highly. In fact, his March 29th blog on "Check Your Mindset" was brief but powerful. It resonated with me and I thought it would with you. With permission, Glenn Smith's advice appears below.
In challenging economic times it is critical to regularly check your mindset. Let me remind you of 3 important principles that you can leverage today.
- The Law of Concentration - this law says "Whatever you dwell upon grows and expands in your life." If you dwell on fears, they grow and expand. If you dwell on doubts, they grow and expand. However, if you dwell on optimism and opportunities they too will grow and expand in your life. Make sure your mind is remaining open and positive. Make sure you are dwelling on the right things.
- The Law of Attraction - this law says "You invariably attract into your life the people, ideas, and circumstances that harmonize with your dominant thoughts." If you look for opportunities you will attract other opportunity seekers. If you focus on new possibilities you will attract new possibilities.
- The Law of Belief - this law says "Whatever you believe with conviction, becomes your reality." Be careful what you believe.
It is very important to have the right mindset. Everything begins in your mind. Don't let the news media or the economic slump hold you back. Look for the new opportunities. Dwell on the new possibilities. Focus on the most important relationships (family, clients, referral sources, friends). Believe me, your mindset makes all the difference! Many of our clients are experiencing growth and expansion even in these uncertain times. The key? Your mindset!
Thanks for sharing your advice Glenn.
