This business coaching blog will be brief today.  I am in San Diego at the International Franchise Association (IFA) Convention.  And yes, I am actually working hard while I am here.  I am proud to represent The Growth Coach franchise system and my primary purpose is to meet with and convince other franchise executives on the merits of offering business coaching programs to their franchise owners throughout North America.  National accounts (franchise systems) are becoming a growing segment of The Growth Coach's business coaching clientèle.

The Growth Coach is fast becoming the go-to "business coaching authority" for franchise systems.  We provide more business coaching to more franchise systems than anyone else.  In part, we can do this because we've invented and perfected a powerful and very affordable business coaching group process where we can serve up to 20 owners at the same time.  That allows us to handle hundreds and even thousands of franchisees on a year-round basis in a cost-effective manner.  We also get results!  Because of our guaranteed business coaching process, we are masters at getting these small business clients to transform and to think and act like strategic business owners.  We help them to expand their mindsets, knowledge, skills and habits so they achieve significant and permanent improvements...greater success in their businesses and more balance in their lives.  When the franchisees benefit, the franchisor benefits.

Besides trying to win more National Accounts for our business coaches, I am also here in San Diego to be a mental sponge.  I am here to soak up best practices, industry trends, and innovations from other franchise systems.  That's what an industry convention is all about...leveraging the experiences (good and bad) and wisdom of others.  Why re-invent the wheel and learn by trail and error?  Success leaves clues...study the successful ways of others and model their success!  As an owner, I love learning about best practices and then adapting the right ones to The Growth Coach... continual innovation is what business is all about.

Speaking of learning and innovation.  The IFA does a terrific job of offering worthwhile educational programs from industry veterans on topics of interest and value to franchise executives.  They also do a fantastic job with the various round tables, networking events, and the exhibitors show.  You can leave each IFA with tons of profitable ideas, relationships, and introductions to top-tier vendors.  Because I attended past industry conventions and learned from larger and more established franchise systems, The Growth Coach is a far better franchise system as a result.  Again, leverage the success and lessons of others!

As your virtual business coach, let me ask you a few business coaching questions.  Do you attend your regional and national industry conventions?  Do you leverage the experiences and wisdom of other companies and executives?  Instead of learning by trial and error, do you try and model the proven success formula of others?  If not, why not?  You can not afford not to attend such conventions.  You would miss out on best practices, industry trends and innovations, new relationships and profitable alliances, valuable vendors and resources, and tons of ideas to improve your bottom line.

OK, maybe this business coaching blog was not that brief after all.
